2023 HDR Curtin round - High intensity exercise and the heart: the more the better or too much of a good thing?

The annual scholarship package (stipend and tuition fees) is approx. AUD $60,000 - AUD $70,000 p.a.

Successful HDR applicants for admission will receive a 100% fee offset for up to 4 years, stipend scholarships, valued at AUD $28,854 p.a. for up to a maximum of 3.5 years, are determined via a competitive selection process. Applicants will be notified of the scholarship outcome in November 2022.

Eligibility criteria

The successful applicant will ideally have a background in exercise physiology or physiotherapy, although the opportunity would also suit a doctor, nurse or echo-cardiographer. We are seeking someone with a passion for improving the lives of people with a chronic condition through exercise. Experience in exercise prescription in the setting of cardiac rehabilitation will be a strong advantage for prospective applicants.
