Behavioural Interventions Field Placement Award

This award was created to partially offset the cost of the field placement course for MacEwan University students who are offered an HTWL 581 field placement opportunity, and who are judged to have the potential to contribute to the future practice and development of applied behaviour analysis.

Criteria

• Applicants must be registered in, or have recently graduated from, the BICA program and have submitted an application for an HTWL 581 field placement.
• Applicants must also submit a letter of intent that outlines their interest in applied behaviour analysis, the relevance of the field placement to their future career aspirations, and (if relevant) the extent to which they are in financial need of the award.
• Students who have obtained a paid field placement position are not eligible for this award.

Awards will be granted on a competitive basis. In addition to being accepted for enrolment into the field placement, applicants will be ranked according to their past grades within the BICA program as well as the information provided in their letter of intent. If a student is granted an award but then obtains a paid field placement, the award will be given to the student with the next highest ranking.

Disbursement Criteria

• Must have obtained an UNPAID HTWL 581 field placement.
• Must remain in good academic standing.
