Northern Alberta Volleyball Club Award

Criteria

To be considered for this award, the candidate must:

• Be listed on the official roster of the Griffins Volleyball Team for the given academic year
• Embody the qualities and sportsmanship of the Northern Alberta Volleyball Club - This translates to a good work ethic, positive attitude and respect for coaches, officials, players and fans
• Preferably have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Meet the requirements outlined by the Canada West Universities Athletic Association and Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) within the policies and procedure section of the by-laws (Policy 50 Financial Awards)
• Be nominated by their coach of the respective volleyball team
• All things being equal, preference given (if available) to a former NVAC student athlete.

No student athlete shall receive any Athletic scholarships, awards or bursaries that exceed the cost of their tuition and mandatory fees (third party sponsorships are excluded). Athletic scholarships, awards and bursaries cannot be given to cover the cost of any non-compulsory fees or books.

Disbursement Criteria

• Must be enrolled full-time.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Must be listed on the official roster of the Griffins Volleyball Team for the given academic year.
