You must meet all of the following conditions:
- Have applied to study one of the following taught Master's courses in SSPSSR: MA Criminology, MA Sociology, MA Methods of Social Research, MA International Social Policy (one year MA only) for entry in September 2022
- Be classified by the University of Kent as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes
- Be fully self-funding your studies
- Have firmly accepted an offer of a place on a taught one of the MA courses detailed above by the scholarship application deadline
- You must meet the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry for the award to be given
- This award cannot be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by SSPSSR or the Division for the Study of Law, Society, and Social Justice (the award which provides the greater monetary value overall will be given only). Please contact us for further information.
- Graduates of the University of Kent are eligible for the award if they meet the stated conditions
- Where students are required to continue their studies beyond their original period of registration, the award will only be provided for that original period of registration
- Entrants to the part-time MA in Philanthropic studies will receive 50% of the stipend in their first year, and 50% of the stipend in their second year of studies (assuming successful completion of the first)
The School of Social Policy, Sociology, and Social Research (SSPSSR) has established a major fund to support overseas students who study one of the MA programmes detailed above. The fund has been established to recognise and support the international student community, and international ethos within SSPSSR.
