GREAT Scholarship

You can apply if you: hold a passport from an eligible country (Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Nepal or Sri Lanka) are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes already hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) to start a one-year full-time master's degree in October 2022 on the provided subject list have a background of extracurricular activities relating to your chosen subject area and a evidenced interest in combatting climate change when applying from Brunei. In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Essex is proud to be able to offer six (6) University of Essex GREAT Scholarships for applicants from Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Nepal and Sri Lanka. There is one scholarship available for Bangladesh, Brunei, China and Sri Lanka and two available for Nepal.

The University of Essex GREAT Scholarships 2022 are valued at £10,000, which must be used towards the cost of tuition fees for any one-year taught Master's (MA, MSc or LLM) degree offered at the University of Essex for Bangladesh, China, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and in any climate change discipline offered at the University of Essex for Brunei which are listed below: MA / MSc Environmental Futures & Climate Change MA Environment, Society & Culture MA Wild Writing: Literature, Landscape and the Environment MA International Development MSc Quantitative International Development.
