Nominees in a master's program are eligible to hold this scholarship during the first two years of program in a doctoral program they are eligible to hold this scholarship up to and including the fifth year of their program
Nominee's major field of study and research is Welding Engineering
Selected on the basis of first class academic standing
Nominees in a master's degree program may be offered this scholarship for a maximum of two years nominees in a doctoral program may be offered this scholarship for a maximum of three years
In the absence of nominees whose major fields of study is Welding Engineering, suitable nominees from an associated area of study or research may be chosen including Materials Processing in the Dept of Chemical and Material Engineering
