Nominee is registered in a graduate degree program in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering or Petroleum Engineering
Nominees registered in a master's program are eligible to hold awards during the first two years of their program. Nominees registered in a doctoral program are eligible to hold awards during years one through five of their program
Nominee is pursuing research related to oil and gas exploration, production, refining and distribution
Awarded on the basis of superior academic achievement (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5 or higher on the U of A grading scale, research potential, published scholarly work)
Open to Canadian citizens.
Open to permanent residents.
Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
