Superior Academic Achievement (grade point average of 3.5 or greater on the University of Alberta grading scale
Faculty of Science or the Faculty of Education
Nominees are eligible for the scholarship in years one and two of a master's program or years one through five of a doctoral program
Nominees from the Faculty of Education must have a research focus in mathematics or science
Selection is based on superior academic achievement
Preference will be given to a nominee who is a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada who has immigrated to Canada within the last five years
