Global Freshman Scholars Award

The Global Freshman Scholars award is a competitive, merit-based scholarship, awarded to a limited number of well-qualified international students each year. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years, or until a first bachelor's degree is earned, whichever comes first.

To ensure consideration for this opportunity, students must be fully admitted to the University by the priority deadlines below. After acceptance to the University of South Alabam

Qualifications

Be an international freshman on an F-visa
Be a degree-seeking student
Have a minimum SAT 1060 (or ACT equivalent)
Have a minimum high school GPA is 3.0 (on the 4.0 scale)

a, incoming first-time freshman will automatically be reviewed for the Global Freshman Scholars award, and no additional scholarship application is required. A scholarship award notification will be emailed to qualified students through their JagMail account.
