Academic Leadership International Entrance Scholarships [E1253]

This scholarship was established by the University of Guelph in 2021 to recognize entering international students' academic excellence and strong demonstrated leadership, innovation and advocacy within their schools and communities. These awards are considered one of Guelph's most prestigious entering scholarships and encourage students to advance their post-secondary studies here at the University of Guelph. Students apply by January 25th by completing the online application to the Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship. Selection will be based on demonstrated leadership and academic excellence. Applicants who are long-listed through the selection process of the Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship, but are not offered this award will be selected. Selections may be limited to particular programs and/or colleges. The scholarship will be renewed each year provided recipients remain registered in full-time studies and achieve a minimum 80.0% average in their previous academic year of full-time study. Students who fail to qualify for a renewal payment may re-qualify by subsequently obtaining an 80.0% or better average in the previous academic year of full-time study. Annual payments lost cannot be added to the end of the award period.

International students (not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or convention refugee of Canada) entering a degree program who have submitted an application to the Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship. This award cannot be held with the President's Scholarships, the Lincoln Alexander Scholarships, the Chancellors' Scholarships, Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship or the Board of Governors' Scholarships.
