Conrad Family MBET Scholarships

Several scholarships valued between CAN $5,000 and CAN $20,000 may be provided annually to graduate students registered full time in the Master of Business and Entrepreneurships and Technology (MBET) program in the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Preference will be given to Canadian Citizens or permanent residents. However, exceptional international applicants may also be considered. Applicants will be selected by a departmental
committee on the basis of their entrepreneurial orientation, quality of their business plan, and record of academic achievement. Interested students should consult the Conrad website for deadline details. These scholarships are made possible by a donation from the Conrad family.

Eligibility & selection criteria:

• Full-time graduate students registered in the Master of Business and Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) program in the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre in the Faculty of Engineering.
• Preference will be given to domestic applications and applications from Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents. Exceptional international applicants may also be considered.
• MBET entry requirements will be the minimum criteria for determining eligibility.
• Applicants offered admission to the MBET program will be asked to apply for the scholarship by submitting a mini business plan and may be asked to present their plan.
• Recipients will be chosen by a panel of faculty based on an assessment of the applicant's entrepreneurial orientation, quality of the business plan and record of academic achievement.
• Selection will be made in the spring term for the following academic year.
