Professor Thammaiah Viswanatha Memorial Graduate Award in Biochemistry

An award, valued at up to CAN $1,000 is awarded annually to a full-time graduate student currently registered in the Guelph-Waterloo Centre for Graduate Work in Chemistry (GWC)2, which a research focus in the field of biochemistry. The award shall be selected on the basis of a demonstration of ability and promise in research and his/her performance in at least two graduate courses, with particular emphasis being placed on the former. The selection committee will be made up of the Coordinating Committee of (GWC)2, or a subcommittee thereof appointed by the Director. Nominations will be solicited from Centre faculty and the Graduate Officers in the Fall term each year. This fund is made possible by donations from family and friends for Professor Thammaiah Viswanatha (TV) in honour of his lifelong dedication to teaching and research.
