Order of the White Rose Scholarship

Eligibility & selection criteria:

For the 2022 competition, in order to be eligible for the scholarship and to apply through Waterloo, the candidate must:

Identify as a woman
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Be a graduate of an engineering program at Waterloo and have completed her bachelor's degree in December 2021, or be in the process of completing it in May or August 2022
Be enrolled, or in the process of enrolling, in a graduate studies program in engineering (master's or PhD) to begin the year after receiving her bachelor's degree*.

To be selected to receive the Poly-technique Montreal Order of the White Rose scholarship, the candidate must demonstrate outstanding merit in the following three areas:

academic record (30%)
technical achievements (35%)
social commitments (35%)

This CAN $30,000 scholarship is awarded annually by the Poly-technique administration to a woman engineering student who wishes to enrol in graduate studies in engineering (master's or PhD) at the institution of her choice, in Canada or elsewhere in the world.
