RBC Outstanding Thesis Award in Cybersecurity in the Quantum Era

Eligibility & selection criteria:

Full-time students who are undertaking a Masters or PhD in topics aligned with quantum-safe cryptography will be eligible.
Students with academic excellence, taking into account grades, publications and other demonstrations of excellence. The student's research plan must be aligned to quantum safe cryptography and must have a supervisor willing to supervise in quantum-safe cryptography research.

Award description:

One award valued at CAN $5,000, will be awarded annually to a current or past graduate student who has successfully submitted and defended their thesis. The student's thesis must have focused on quantum-safe cryptography. The UW Cryptography/Cryptoworks21 Selection Committee will select a recipient annually, reflecting back on theses submitted and defended in the last 12 months. Scientific excellence and application in quantum-safe cryptography are the criteria for the Thesis Award.
