Chevening/University of Hull Scholarships

The University of Hull has received Chevening Scholars for over 20 years and in 2021 became a full Chevening Partner leading to the creation of five Chevening/University of Hull Scholarships. For the 2023/2024 academic year these scholarships will cover full tuition fees for up to five students. We accept applications submitted by students from any of the 160 eligible countries in the 2023/24 academic year.

• Scholars must hold a degree that is equivalent to at least an upper second-class honours (2:1) degree.
• Scholars must meet English language requirements as required for entry onto the University of Hull's postgraduate taught programmes.
• Scholars must apply for a University of Hull postgraduate taught programme which leads to a masters qualification.
• Scholars must demonstrate the potential to rise to positions of leadership and influence, they will need to demonstrate that they possess the personal, intellectual and interpersonal attributes reflecting this potential.
• Scholars must have completed at least two years work, or equivalent experience, by the end of September in the year prior to the academic year for which the scholarship applies.
• Scholars must intend to return to the country they were selected from at the end of the period of study.
