Michael Baldwin Memorial Scholarship

For citizens of any South Pacific Nation (excluding New Zealander and Australian citizens), who can demonstrate a need for financial support in order to undertake study. Candidates must be enrolled or intending to enrol in approved full-time study.. To be eligible, applicants must: 2.1.1. be citizens of any South Pacific nation as defined in the UN Coastal States of the South Pacific, but excluding citizens of New Zealand and/or Australia and 2.1.2. be either enrolled or intending to enrol in an approved full-time programme of study at the University of Waikato in the year of tenure of the Scholarship and 2.1.3. show commitment to contribute to development/society in the South Pacific Region in the Future and 2.2. Preference may be given to applicants who can demonstrate a need for financial support in order to undertake tertiary study. 2.3. Preference may be given to applications from citizens of Papua New Guinea. 2.4. Applicants may be residing in New Zealand or offshore at the time of application. 2.5. Previous recipients may apply again, but are expected to have passed all papers in the year(s) that they held the Scholarship
