The Abbotsford School District has 46 schools that are attended by over 19,200 full and part time students at 30 elementary schools, 8 middle schools, 1 combined middle-secondary school and 7 secondary schools. As the largest employer in the city, it employs over 2,200 full and part time teaching and support staff who are committed to helping students succeed. The district offers a variety of quality programs to meet unique learning needs and engages students in stimulating and relevant educational experiences.

Abbotsford School has programs and courses to fit every student, from intensive academics to sports academies to the arts. Programs include International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, Aviation, Business, Film and Broadcasting, 3D design for Architecture and Engineering, Sports Rehab Medicine, Fine Arts and performing arts, 3D Animation and more. The district encourages students to participate in the many sporting activities available in its schools, which includes soccer, running clubs, skiing, swimming, basketball, golf , tennis and martial arts. Each of its high school provides additional field trips and activities, such as rock climbing, hiking, fishing and rafting. All international students can participate in awesome outdoor activities in its Outdoor Education Program.
