Canning College was established by the Education Department of Western Australia in 1982 to provide the opportunity for adults to return to education at a Year 12 level. Since then, Canning College has established an enviable reputation for providing excellent educational opportunities and services for International students who are seeking a quality pathway to University. The programs offered by college has expanded to provide the opportunities for students to complete education at a Year 10 and Year 11 level, Pre-Diploma and First Year University level courses.

Canning's spacious campus is located in Perth, seven kilometres south of the city centre and next to Curtin University. The College is conveniently located near small (Waterford Plaza) and large shopping centres (Carousel). Canning is only 20 minutes travel from Perth International Airport. Public transport access to the campus is excellent with regular bus services to a wide range of areas and the Curtin Bus Station is adjacent to Canning campus and Vickery House, the major student village.
