Confederation College has been serving the citizens of northwestern Ontario since 1967, by meeting the educational needs of students in a catchment area of 550,000 square kilometres. Located in the heart of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Confederation College is a culturally diverse community, delivering exceptional education and training to an average of 6,500 combined full-time and part-time students per year.
Confederation offers more 150 diploma, certificate & apprenticeship programs and academic upgrading programs. With highly-trained instructors, smaller class sizes and a dynamic learning environment, it offers practical, hands-on programs and courses that will give students the skills, knowledge and confidence to realize their dreams. Evening classes, online classes, Distance Education and more is available in Continuing Education for students. There are hundreds of courses to choose from (as well as Programs) and even some non-credit fun things too.
Confederation College also boast a state-of-the-art Aviation Centre of Excellence facility, located at the Thunder Bay International Airport. This 59,000 square feet facility is comprised of two large hangers, classrooms, shops and labs for three aviation programs.
The main campus of the college is situated on 130 acres of park-like and has beautifully treed grounds, a shallow, twisting river and a network of walking paths. Along with its main campus in Thunder Bay, the college also have eight regional campuses located across northwestern Ontario, in the communities of Dryden, Fort Frances, Kenora, Geraldton, Marathon, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout and Wawa.
