Deakin University English Language Institute or DUELI is Deakin’s English language centre and is the perfect place to learn English. The institute have more than 21 years of experience helping students improve their English and prepare them for university studies. Here, students love the experience of learning English with other students from all over the world.
Students learn more than English at DUELI. They learn the skills for success in their future studies and career. By successfully completing DUELI course, students meet their English language requirements for the course they want to study at Deakin University or Deakin College. All DUELI courses run for 5 weeks except for General English Elementary (GE 1) which is for 10 weeks. Most students attend DUELI for 10 to 20 weeks. Each course includes 20 hours of tuition per week in a class with a teacher; and 5 hours per week of study in DUELI’s Independent Learning Centres (ILCs), under the guidance of a teacher.
DUELI is not just an English language centre; it is a part of Deakin University. This means students will have access to the excellent student facilities at Deakin’s modern, high-tech campuses. These facilities includes well-equipped classrooms with the latest smartboard technology, places to eat and buy a variety of foods, including halal dishes, 24-hour computing resources and internet access for study purposes.
Deakin is a world-class university located in the Australian state of Victoria. DUELI has classes at two Deakin campuses, one in the city of Melbourne and one in the city of Geelong. The Melbourne Burwood Campus is Deakin’s largest campus and has a lively and diverse on-campus culture. Located in central Geelong, the Geelong Waterfront Campus is right on the waterfront of Corio Bay. The campus is a unique blend of historic buildings and modern architecture.
