Durham University International Study Centre is a dedicated centre for international students located on Queen's Campus in Stockton. The campus is small and welcoming with everything students need close by.
International Study Centre help students to develop the skills they need for their chosen degree at Durham University. All programmes prepare students for undergraduate or postgraduate study and lead to more than 40 different degrees at the University. The institute provides opportunity to students to improve their English language skills and to learn more about the academic subjects relevant to their university degree. It also introduces students to the style of teaching and independent learning that they will experience when they start their undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
ISC staff are experts in supporting international students. They will help students adapt to UK life and will introduce them to the full range of opportunities at Durham University. CareerAhead is an important part of ISC’s pathway programmes. This helps students to plan for their future career and develops the skills they need to succeed.
The institute provide full support as soon as they arrive at the International Study Centre. Experienced teachers, a team of support staff and organized activities will help students settle in and make friends. They also have a Welfare Officer who will listen to any problems and look after student’s wellbeing and safety. The Student Support Coordinator helps with practical matters such as visa.
