The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is an institute for higher learning. It has emerged from its founding organization, IDC Technologies, which is an international provider of practical, technical training. Since its conception in 1991, five hundred thousand engineers, technicians and technologists have been trained globally. Other than the head office in Western Australia, affiliated offices can be found in the United Kingdom, USA, South Africa and India.
EIT offers Australian accredited engineering and technology Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Graduate Certificates, Bachelor and Master Degrees. All are offered online, while the four bachelor's degrees and four master's degrees are also delivered on-campus. The college and courses are endorsed by a range of international academic and professional bodies.
All programs are specially designed by an international body of industry experts, ensuring students graduate with cutting-edge skills. Any theory is presented in context, supported by practical applications and will be relevant to the industries students are in or striving to enter. Engineering Institute of Technology has two main campus buildings, one located in Perth, Western Australia and one in Melbourne, Victoria. Both campuses are located close to the heart of the city and are serviced by frequent and reliable public transport. The Perth campus is located in Bentley. This area is known as an academic, innovation, enterprise, and technology hub. It is adjacent to the iconic Technology Park Bentley, which is home to more than 100 organizations including technology-based industry, research and development, academia and support organizations. The Melbourne Campus is located in the heart of the city. It is close to theatres, museums, art galleries, gardens and zoos.
