Leeds International Study Centre works in collaboration with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University to prepare students from outside the UK for successful degree study. ISC Courses offer students the opportunity to study abroad in the UK, and provide additional support to students who do not meet the entry requirements to apply directly at the University of Leeds.
Each course is designed to ease students into life in the UK with small classes, attentive teaching styles and tailored courses for international students, as well as a focus on improving their English language skills. Students will also take part in lectures, seminars and tutorials, so that they know what to expect when they progress to their degree at the University of Leeds. The International Study Centre is built keeping students in mind; their team of helpful and friendly staff here make settling in and getting used to life abroad that much easier. They can offer support and advice at any time during student’s course, and small class sizes mean students will also get individual attention from teachers, making it easy to ask questions about their studies.
ISC have introduced CareerAhead activities for students to take part in alongside their courses, giving them a chance to practice and build employability skills and prepare students for success beyond university. This reinforced by the strong enterprising business links that the University of Leeds has to offer, which students will have access to once they progress to a degree. Students will also have the opportunity to build up work experience by taking up part-time employment or a work placement during their studies.
