The International Study Centre is based on Lancaster University's safe and modern campus. The institute helps prepare students for their degree, adapt to life in the UK, and plan for their future career. With ISC support, students will become part of Lancaster's close community, and they can focus on achieving their goals. ISC programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with Lancaster University.
An International Foundation Year or Pre-Masters Programme at International Study Centre prepares students for their degree at Lancaster University. Students will focus on English language, university-level study skills, and academic modules that relate to their degree subject. The English Language Preparation programme is also available if students do not meet the language requirements to study the International Foundation Year.
Beside this, students will also undertake a variety of CareerAhead activities as part of their International Foundation Year or Pre-Masters Programme at Lancaster University. CareerAhead helps students to become a confident, skilled and employable graduate. Through CareerAhead, they will develop valuable employability skills to help them stand out and achieve thei goals. Students will develop confidence as they build their teamwork, problem solving and communication skills. They will be guided towards creating a personal development plan to work on throughout their time at the University. Also, students will have the opportunity to build up work experience by taking up part-time employment or a work placement during their studies.
