Malvern St James Girls' School is a leading independent day and boarding school for pupils aged 3-18. What makes it distinct and refreshing is its recognition and active support for the individual talents, interests, and passions of girls, along with the liberating and inclusive ethos the school embraces.
Malvern St James does not produce a ‘type’ of girl. It achieves excellent academic results, but it is not an exam factory. Its ethos is one of inclusion and respect. Girls can pursue their passions and interests in the field of their choice – all routes are equal. Whether it be horse riding, engineering, politics, the environment, or climbing, the school recognises the importance of allowing each individual to grow and flourish. It finds ways to support girls in achieving their passions.
Girls can be anything they want to be, whether that is a high-flying academic, a passionate sportswoman, or both. They are not defined by what they can achieve, but because of the support Malvern St James offers and the personal development it nurtures in girls, they can go on to achieve everything they want.
Malvern St James is a day and boarding school offering the best of both worlds. It nurtures a freedom of spirit, respect for others, and support for every member of the school community. Its staff are innovative and passionate about their work, constantly evolving new ways to inspire learning and exploration of their subjects, often beyond the curriculum. The school actively encourages debate and open discussion, exploring the world both at home and across the globe. It believes in maintaining truth and transparency as a school community.
Pupils can board from Year 3 right through to Upper Sixth (ages 7 - 18). Approximately 60% of the pupils are day girls, with 40% boarding; flexi, weekly, or full boarding.
