Palo Alto College, one of the Alamo Colleges, has been a pillar of the Southside community and remains dedicated to providing a high-quality education for the community. Originally created in 1985 from the desire to provide higher education to residents of south San Antonio, it has spent 30 years serving over 100,000 individuals throughout San Antonio, Bexar County, and surrounding counties. With thousands of graduates, the college continues to provide education that is accessible, with programs and resources that ensure success.
Students from Palo Alto College are prepared to transition to a four-Year University or advance in the workplace. It offers a variety of two-year Associate Degree programs that can lead directly to the workforce or be applied toward transfer to a university. The College also offers short-term job-training through certificate programs that lead directly to the workforce.
Palo Alto College is conveniently located less than 15 minutes from downtown San Antonio at I-410 South and Hwy 16 South. The campus serves a site for VITA volunteers to help low-income residents prepare their income tax returns.
