Established in 1874, Toorak College offers a world standard education with a healthy, balanced lifestyle to support children’s intellectual, personal, emotional, and social developmental needs. For over 140 years, it has been committed to the education of girls and has played a major role in shaping the lives of thousands of women over many generations. Boys and girls are welcome at Toorak College from 3 year old pre-school to Year 4. The school has a girls’ only educational approach from Years 5 to 12. It helps girls identify their strengths and interests and develop confident, high achieving global citizens by providing exceptional education in a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment. The range of sports and co-curricular activities are extensive at Toorak College and includes areas such as Music, Performing Arts, Challenge Programs and Community Service. All girls are strongly encouraged to ‘have a go’ at sports they may not have tried before, whilst continuing to pursue sports they already enjoy. Music and Drama also play a very big part in the girls’ lives at Toorak. The school’s wellness centre provides a safe space for students to see their physical and mental health and wellbeing as interrelated and provide support to overall health management. Its on-campus Intensive English Language Centre ensures a smooth transition for international students, equipping students with the language skills they need to be active members of the Toorak College community. The school is a member of the Melbourne Schools Partnership International with the University of Melbourne. Toorak College is located on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Australia.
