The English Language Centre operates within the Directorate of Teaching and Learning Support at the University of New England and provides English language support and education for international students. Programs offered by the centre prepare students for further study at the University of New England and give them the skills and knowledge needed to understand how to be successful at the new university. The Centre provides a stimulating learning environment for students, with excellent resources and high academic standards.

The programs at ELC provide the pathways into UNE courses across all levels of study. It offers quality, accredited English language courses that focus on individual learning needs, with friendly and experienced teachers dedicated to helping reach their goals. The courses run all year round. The internationally recognized International English Language Testing System test is also offered each month. The courses are taught by highly qualified English language teachers, experienced in understanding the individual learning needs. Teachers are dedicated to helping students reach their goals, and provides on-going support and guidance throughout the studies.
