The International Study Centre is at the heart of the Surrey campus. All pathway programmes are designed to prepare students for university-style teaching and develop their academic and English language skills. From day one students will be welcomed into the University community with full access to the facilities, while receiving specialist support on their path to their chosen degree.

The pathway programmes at the University of Surrey International Study Centre are run by Study Group, in collaboration with the University of Surrey. Study Group is a world leader in education and training for international students. Programmes are approved by the University of Surrey, who hold responsibility for the academic standards of the centre. By beginning their academic journey with ISC, students will benefit from an introduction to chosen subject, help adapting to the UK education system, developing confidence for university, a strong community of likeminded students and advice and support for studying overseas.

University of Surrey International Study Centre includes CareerAhead activities in all their programmes to help prepare students for life beyond university. CareerAhead is designed to give students a head start in the competitive global graduate employment market. It will help them to develop key employability skills such as problem solving, teamwork, time management and communication. In addition, ISC will work with students to create a personal development plan to help them identify and work towards their goals for future success. Students will also have the opportunity to build up work experience by taking up part-time employment or a work placement during their studies.
